1kg methionine in animal feed, equivalent to the nutritional value of 50kg fish meal, generally added in an amount of 0.05% to 0.2% methionine in poultry feed additive amount of 0.5 ~ 2.5kg / t, feed for pigs 0.5 ~ 1.0kg / t, if the increase in broiler diets 0.075% to 0.25% of the methionine broiler weight gain of 11.8% ~ 15.9% in ruminant diets supplemented with methionine at the same time, make sheep wool yield increased by 25%, milk production increased by more than 42%, meat production increased by 12% and save 10% feed.
